| The 14th armored recreations
unit is a self funded, and all privately owned WWII reenactment group.
The group contains three M5 A1 Stuart tanks, owned by Jon Shoop. They also
have a half track, deuce and a half, high speed tractor, and some Willy’s
jeeps. Everything is privately owned, and maintained by the group themselves.
Tim Garret heads up most of
the mechanical issues needed to be dealed with on the armor. Every Tuesday
he holds a tank night at his house where the 14th armored can get together
and work on the tanks or practice maneuvers.
The 14th armored holds reenactments
all over the country. They have held reenactments in Florida, Fort Knox
Kentuky, Indiana and parades here in Missouri.
